Last night a 53 year old (male, I think) was killed on bicycle at Union and E Washington. At nearly the same moment, a 21 year old female pedestrian was killed on Milwaukee Street. It was around 8:30pm when it was raining pretty good. No details yet...though I believe both were attempting to cross traffic at the time and I did hear that in the ped case that alcohol and speed have been ruled out as a factor. -Marjorie
