That's three deaths on the east side in a very short period of time. The last one was a pedestrian killed at a crosswalk at Vernon and Cottage Grove Road. My husband and I (and others) have been avoiding biking along there since then.
The area where the pedestrian was killed is out past I 90, where there has been a lot of development. It doesn't strike me as particularly pedestrian friendly.
It sure seems that rain greatly increases a pedestrian or bicyclist's chances of being injured or killed.
