Yeah, I saw that too.
A six year old with parents. I'm trying to imagine this situation. Did the
kid run out into the street ahead of the parents? Did the kid not run fast
enough across the street, but the parents made it? Were the parents and kid
not crossing together? Or were the parents hit as well, but lived?

Per a co-worker of mine who had just exited the polling place in Belleville
at the time, the parents were getting in line to vote, the little girl was
with them, but not holding their hands, and the truck turned right into
her. She was wearing all dark colors, and it was dark. The EMTs were less
than a block away, but couldn't help.
