I don't think it was intentional.  I was just thinking maybe they were planning to fix all the ruts along that stretch and then maybe it would get painted.  My Burley goes "ker-bang kerbang!" every ten feet or less, and I am not exaggerating.  Watching my daughter's head continuously slap against the seat if she is silly enough to fall asleep during a ride is upsetting.  I'd really like to see this get patched, though there are other spots, including along Monona Drive alongside the golf course, and behind Woodman's East, that are in similar disrepair.

A while back it was noted on this list serve that one section of the
Capital City Trail Path within the City did not have its centerline
repainted. This section was from Dennett to Dempsey. Some
thought it was intentional. After talking to a couple of folks, I now
believe the painting contractor accidentally forgot to do it. This
section switches to other side of the RR tracks at Dempsey and
contractor probably thought the path ended there.

I wish that one of the city folks on this list serve would have
checked out why Dennett to Dempsey was not painted. If they
would have it might have been painted by now.

Thanks. Mike
