Thanks for posting this. Item 3 below is one I've privately been
dreaming of for a long time. There are very few direct North-South
routes in this area. Midvale connects two critical East-West routes,
the Blackhawk path and the Southwest path, as well as the Whenona Way
bridge over the beltline.

Removing on-street parking would be an inconvenience for the residences
along Midvale. Many of the homes are rather modest, and they don't have
space for a larger driveway. I know, they shouldn't have those extra cars,
blah blah blah, but there is no point in making that argument with someone
who isn't 'enlightened' to the car-free Way.

In truth, the number of cars parked on the street is not very many. I know
because I bike this route several times a week.
If the City could compensate the home-owners in some way, I think this
would be a great idea. Expanded bus routes along this road should be
part of the deal.
