...Looks like zits growing on the face of the earth!

If ever anyone had any doubts about the role of the automobile in affecting the weather, this should put that confusion to rest. Look at the big convective blobs out ahead of the big front--basically the whole eastern 1/3 of the country is blemished with these things rising out of heat islands of the major urban areas. Since we know that more than half of the heat-generating impervious surfaces of these urban areas are for the benefit of automobiles (even worse out in the sprawlburbs surrounding the city), we should be able to deduce where over half the blame goes. Scenes like this should be a good object lesson to those who think Toyota Piouses, bile-diesel powered- or electric-powered cars are the answer to preventing climate change.

Cars change the climate no matter what they are powered by.
