I decided to sniff around and see where bike parking issues turn up on
the city of madison web site.

http://www.cityofmadison.com:8765/query.html?rq=0&col=internet&qt=+bike+parking&charset=iso-8859-1

The majority of the documents that the search finds are reviews from
Kathy Voeck (Assistant Zoning Administrator) on various PUD (GDP-SIP)
issues that come before the plan commission. What I see is a fairly
good history of recommending good bike parking. My question is, can
anyone on this list comment on the resulting quality of the bike
parking in some of the locations that turn up in the search? Did the
Zoning inspectors follow through on the recommendations?

Places in the top 10:

309 W. Washington Avenue, Block 51, PHASE I
2340 Winnebago St, Union Corners, Phase I SIP
1501 Monroe St.
1833 Winnebago St.
437-441 W Mifflin St
13 Atlas Court, Dream Lanes
3862 Johns St., CONTRACTOR SHOP FOR OASEN PLUMBING
149 Waubesa Street
301 S Livingston St, Rezoning
1135 Erin Street

Also, if you know of a site that was rezoned in the last three years
that really misses the mark, let me know, and I'll see what I can dig
up in terms of initial zoning comments on the plan.
