Yes, people monitor it. I reported a large pothole in the bike lane on
Dayton St in front of the Doyle Bldg. It had been growing for over a
year, and I kept forgetting to complain. When I did, via the web site,
it was fixed the next day!
On the Isthmus Daily Page Forum, other people have reported similar
success stories. The "report a problem" site seems to work best when
you report a problem that falls into one of the categories the city has
already listed. That way it goes directly to the appropriate
person/department. Other "general" problem need to be sorted out by a
person and then forwarded to the correct person/agency.

Does someone actually monitor this? Over the months I have submitted
five posts, mostly concerning potholes, and nothing was ever done
about any of them, so I assumed this website was more a political
campaign ploy than something that was actually monitored. I will try
it in the future.
