Just remember that the Packers riding kids bikes is a PR stunt. Kids
can bring their bikes and say, "This bike was ridden by [favorite
packer]!"

Now, if they players actually rode their bikes to practice, that would
be something else.

And in the same vein, let's look at the Badger Football team, or any
other revenue sport. I used to tutor for the UW Athletic Department,
and was told by several first string players from the big sports that
their coaches didn't want them riding their bikes because the coaches
wanted to control all their training. So they were encouraged to ride
mopeds instead!

Now it's possible that this is all a bunch of BS, or the athletes
completely misinterpreted a comment by the training staff, but I heard
it more than once! I also heard, "I already get plenty of exercise. I
don't need to ride my bike. I just want to get home after practice."
