Mark, I'm glad you use a bell. I run on the paths sometimes (more often on 
sidewalks) with an i-pod , and I always make sure that the volume is low enough 
so I can hear bells/passing-on-left calls. A lot of people don't even bother to 
use their bells or say anything though, I guess they assume I can't hear them. 
But I also try to keep very far to the right.

There are cyclists who ride with headphones on too, it's not just joggers.
