The problem with bike projects as economic stimulus is that the projects
are so inexpensive. How much does it cost to build a bike path? Or a
bike overpass? The cost is to tiny it can be financed out of a major
highway project's petty cash fund. To create a lot a jobs you need a real
money pit -- like the Marquette Interchange reconstruction, for example.

But perhaps, if we put together bike projects around the state that have
been sitting on the shelf for years, waiting for funds, we might come up
with a list that's big enough to attract some modest notice and that might
create a few jobs around the state.

Is this something BFW should do?
