Ross,

Thanks for the info. For those that might take the lake path west from the
MemUnion - be sure you have fenders as it is still pretty wet/muddy as of last
night but still a wonderful way to miss some of the craziness of Univ. Ave.
Maybe today's marvelous weather will dry it out!!!

MattB

Subject: [Bikies] Univ Ave Bike Detour

As some may have noticed, the University Ave reconstruction projected started
today. A link to the plans and the bicycle detour is posted on Traffic
Engineering's website in two places. Since the detour will change as the
phases change, here is how to navigate to the page.

1) on Traffic Engineering's Home Page
http://www.cityofmadison.com/trafficengineering/
click on University Ave Pavement Rehab info
http://www.cityofmadison.com/trafficengineering/documents/Announcements/UniversityAv2009/UniversityAvePavementRehabInfo.cfm

2) Under Bicycling & Walking / Bicycle & Walking Maps
click on University Ave Construction Detours
http://www.cityofmadison.com/trafficEngineering/documents/Announcements/UniversityAv2009/UniversityAvePavementRehabInfo.cfm

The pdf for the current detour route is
