Regarding the choice to ban bicycles from Gregory St:

Don't you think it might be easier to ban the large tour buses that are
causing the congestion? If your streets were built for stagecoaches and
horses, it seems that bicycles are more the scale you are looking for.

Yes, I know, you need the elderly, people with disabilities, and the
generally lazy to be able to be dropped off right at the doorstep of your
tourist destinations and casinos. However, small golf carts or even shuttle
buses would serve to move people who cannot or will not walk the short
distance that is your downtown street. Tour buses can park on the edge of
town. Encouraging more walking might even bring business to some of the
lesser-known shops and locations.

And I realize that you don't feel it's necessary t take advice from a
non-local. When I served on our local city council, I hated getting emails
from out-of-towners that thought they knew how to run our city. So you can
ignore me and all the other potential visitors that might come to Blackhawk.
However, my understanding is that your economy is built on tourism, so
perhaps you care more about non-residents public opinion than I did.
