The tires on my car require somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-45psi (I forget exactly), but certainly not 60psi. Besides, I don't really get it. sure, it's an interesting exercise to hack, and the small parts probably only cost a few dollars. But what is so expensive or difficult about a purpose built pump you carry with you (that's probably no heavier or bulkier than the hack) and only costs $15? http://ecom1.planetbike.com/1020.html
