I tried it too, and concluded that it really doesn't work well on Presta valved tubes. I tried to reinflate 700x28's on the road and the second the dispenser pierced the CO2 canister, it blew up the tube. (I was using a Presta-to-Shrader adapter, so I may have been off-label as far as the CO2 system folks are concerned.)
