Karl Frantz, and the rest of the Village of Shorewood Hills, should be given
lots of credit for wanting to improve the connections in their jurisdiction,
and encouraged to continue. They are thinking of some other significant
improvements for bicyclists and pedestrians that potential new developments
might just make possible sooner rather than later.

UW Transportation Services' Commuter Solutions unit has been offering our
transportation planning skills to the Village of Shorewood Hills for about a
year now. This helps to insure that connections to the campus are as safe and
convenient as the bicycle facilities on campus (though there are still
several places on campus where significant improvements need to be made that
we are (slowly) working on).
Working with other municipalities and government agencies to make better
connections to and throughout the campus is consistent with Campus Master
Plan adopted in 2005.

Subject: [Bikies] Shorewood Hills path re-opened

and better than ever. The 'singularity' that inverted directions has
been resolved. Two nice wide lanes, with 'sharrows', plus a sidewalk.

thanks, VoSH!
