Half ($350k) of the cost of the underpass is being paid for by a state
Safe Routes to Schools grant. Replacing the underpass was unlikely until
the grant came through last year.
I'm not sure why the Mayor mentioned it last night; it's really designed
for pedestrians, not bikes. The turns on the approach ramps and the
clearance will not be conducive to riding.

So if it was approved but comes out of this 4.4mil$ bike/ped money ...
