I haven't been keeping up with the emails, I apologize for the late reply.

If you're willing to let the matter wait until you can make an online report,
or if you own a smart phone and a super-fast pair of thumbs, you can go here:

https://www.cityofmadison.com/reportaproblem/bikeway.cfm?

And for this particular circumstance, the request type would likely be: debris,
obstructions, and encroachments. I've only used this service once, but at that
time the city responded fairly quickly.

Thanks,

Hal

Subject: Re: [Bikies] truck on bike lane

I've been battling this for years - just ask Robbie (I saw those eyes roll,
missy!) - sometimes a brief chat and explanation to the offending driver can be
quite effective. If the initial friendly explanation doesn't have the desired
effect,  a cell phone in hand with a verbal indication that you're calling
someone to come and explain things further will usually elicit some reaction.
And go ahead and make that call if you need to, a blocked bike lane/path is
public hazard. (255-2345 is the non-emergency police dispatch number).

there was certainly no excuse for the Two Men and a Truck truck that was
blocking the bike path by the garage entrance to the Fauerbach at around 4:15.
It could have backed up five feet and people could have gotten by with
relatively little inconvenience.
