Yes, I think that saying whether citations were issued is part of the
education process, similar to saying whether a driver was wearing a seat
belt or using a helmet (motorcycle or bicycle), whether speed or alcohol
were a factor, etc.

Many people still don't realize that drivers are required to yield to
pedestrians in the crosswalk in all 50 states. (In some states they are
required to stop, in some just yield, and in some the pedestrian does not
even need to enter the crosswalk to require the driver to yield.) I think
it would be useful to point out that drivers can get a ticket for not
yielding, and they sure as hell should get a ticket for hitting someone.

And I know there are reporters, legislators, and maybe some police officers
on this list. Just dropping a hint...
