Has Rep Jacque’s proposed bill the “jury information act” been introduced
(assigned a bill number)? Is the BFW or other organization gearing up to oppose
it? Based on Griessmeyer's blog, it sounds like this is something we need to
fight against.

Having recently served on a jury for 5 days in a civil case, I can say without
doubt that (in general) keeping the jury ignorant of all of the relevant facts
is how things work. It defied common sense. Yet as jurists we were instructed
to use common sense to arrive at a decision in our case. We did the best we
could given the limited information that was allowed to be shared. In the end
I, as a jurist, felt as violated by the process as the plaintiff did which
prompted him to bring suit against a villainous defendant.
