There are also servings of fruit, donuts, coffee, etc. You don’t have to eat
the bacon. I am a vegan and stop by every year to say hello and converse with
my cycling friends and also meet new people. Please don’t be judgmental of
others, we want others to be tolerant of us when we bike, so let’s start with
tolerance ourselves.

Bacon on the Bike Path

This title that pairs and promotes bacon with biking sends a conflicting
message.

Biking supports health to humans and to the environment. Bacon degrades both,
and is cruel besides, even on the so-called “heritage” farms and “humane”
slaughterhouses.

Much of the public knows this. I’ve included some links below for those who
would like information.

Let’s sell biking, not bacon.

(The Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine website provides useful
nutritional information in general, not just about the bacon-cancer link.
Cholesterol and cardiac issues are addressed as well.)

links between the livestock industry and several environmental issues: climate
change, biodiversity loss, food and water security, deforestation, and oceanic
