I'm assuming it's illegal, but so is stopping in NO PARKING zones, parking
at bus stops, double parking, pulling a U-Haul onto the sidewalk, blocking
the sidewalk in general, parking in the front yard, and tossing your trash
on the street without even putting it into a bag, all of which happens on a
regular basis between Aug 13 and 16 every year.

The rule seems to be, "If you don't injure someone or damage property, we
will look the other way."
