Hi folks. Just a reminder that we have a free class at the University Bicycle Resource Center (UBRC) tomorrow (see details below) and that spring open shop hours are Monday through Friday, 4-8pm (the hours may change for UW spring break, tbd, check for updates at http://www.transportation.wisc.edu/transportation/bike_annex.aspx ). Upcoming shop events: • *Chain Lubrication. Wednesday, March 18, 2015, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.* Keep your bike running smoothly throughout the year. During the hands-on portion, you will learn and practice best techniques for cleaning and lubricating your chain. • *Shifting and Derailleurs. Wednesday, April 15, 2015, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.* Learn the basics about how your bicycle’s gears work and how to keep them shifting smoothly. • *Introduction to Truing a Wheel. Wednesday, May 6, 2015, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.* Learn the basics about how to true a wheel and why it is important. These events are all free, co-ed and open to the public (the classes will be taught by We Are All Mechanics). Bring your bike if you’d like or look on with another student. The first five attendees at each of these events will receive a free Planet Bike blinky light set! The University Bicycle Resource Center is located in the basement of Helen C White Library (in the northeast corner of the ground level of the parking garage.) Enter at ground level from the sidewalk on Park Street near the lake.
