Hello:
I am a boardmember with the Marquette Neighborhood Association and we have been
approached by area residents with a request to ask Madison Metro to curb the
usage of the turn signals on most, if not all, city buses. In the very initial
start up of that conversation a cyclist wrote to our neighborhood listserv
asking that we not do this because of the added safety benefits of that system.
This caught my attention and I'd like to know what other cyclists think before
I have the opportunity to vote on approaching Metro. If you could only choose
'yes' to keeping the turn signal sound or 'no' to eliminating it which would
you choose and why? Also, if you argue that it is not a concern either way I
would also like to hear from you. Thank You- Jack Kear
