Yes, my understanding is also that the construction is to make the path
diagonal through this intersection (reducing the street crossings from 2 to
1) and to install a signal that is green for path traffic by default. Any
cross traffic (MV or bike) will have a red on Charter (both ways). This
should be a huge improvement for path traffic. Unfortunately, Harald, I
believe the Charter light will be triggered with in-ground sensors, so no
button pushing for cars:)  Not sure what the final verdict was for bike
sensor at this light; hoping the same sensor picks up bikes on Charter and
doesn't require pushing a button.
