I have no such plan today, but it might be an idea to have a page on the site with "What's planned for the next release?". That might be interesting for everyone; also gives a confirmation that the project is alive and healthy :-).
exactly. a slow job with reliable progress meter is much better than a fast process with no progress meter.
I can't really make a reliable roadmap for specific future releases, but I could have an open-ended section called something like "what's planned for future releases/in this branch?".
it is probably not necessary to make it perfectly reliable. people just want to know what are planned and those priorities.
everyone on this list probably think that the share folder feature will be implemented sometime soon. and charset support other than us-ascii in search operation sounds like to be implemented in 1.3.0.
but when we tell these things at somewhere else, it simply leads the question, "when".
would that be supported in next release, 1.2.9 or 1.3.0? if it would be in 1.3.0, when would be the target release date? in this year or end of summer in next year? these things.
so, i think it'd be good idea to share what you think or even just vague idea to interest people who have never used binc.
It might also be interesting to add a bugtracker and so on, but I'll wait and see how the community (# of bugreports / feature requests) grows first. :-)
i totally agree on this.
