There is know reason i am just wining because i cannot get it to work. Dont get me wrong i think BINC is a great server and once i document all the steps required to make it work then it will be easier to install next time. If it would help i could submit my docs to you for FreeBSD users.

v22.computerking.ca > /home/rmvg #svstat /var/service/imaps/log
/var/service/imaps/log: up (pid 212) 26 seconds

Do not see anything in my /var/log/messages about binc so i do not think it is set up for syslog.

Have set up binc before a couple of times acually and i swear each time gets more difficult. This time i am haveing problems with my log file. Evertime i check the logs they are empty which does not give me any confidace that binc is working
svc -u /var/service/imaps/log
svc -u /var/service/imaps
cannot figure out what is wrong please help.

Try svstat /var/service/imaps/log and see what's going on. Also check /var/log/messages to see if Binc is set up to log using syslog.

Why do you have the impression that installing Binc gets harder and
harder, by the way? For all I can tell, it's just getting easier. Now with
1.2.7beta4, Binc even searches for the libs and includes of OpenSSL
automatically.

Please share your experience..
