|
|
| that's a known problem with thunderbird.
|
| Thunderbird tries to create a ROOT LEVEL imap folder called "Sent",
which, if
| you're using maildir++ you cannot do (folders must be subfolders of
INBOX),
| and then it hangs from there.

I had quite a few problems when switching from Courier to BINC,
especially as it relates to getting my folders to show up in my client.
I assume now that it's partly related to Thunderbird and partly related
to the fact that I didn't read up enough on the different mail depots.

| Either change your thunderbird settings (I have some screenshots
around to do
| this, but it's pretty simple to do, just go into account settings and
then
| click on "folder settings") so it uses a different folder, or switch to
| IMAPdir (the latter is much more difficult)

I would definitely appreciate anything you could provide, although if
it's as simple as you say, I imagine it'd be less work for you just to
tell me what settings to use for the IMAP folder settings. I saw some
stuff under the "Advanced" configuration that looks promising, but I
confess I don't know what to put there.

Thanks for the response.
