Wayhey! It seems to have worked. I changed the UMask to 0000 and I can add, delete and, well, edit folders now. Brilliant! Thanks Simon, I also didn't expect a reply to quickly. Kudos!
Now, I wonder if you will be able to tell me whether my fetchmail idea is possible? To tell fetchmail to grab email from a POP3 account and place them in the INBOX directory?

umask is a mask applied to 0777. So if you want files to be created with 0777 permissions, you umask have to be 0000.
