Well, what it essentially means is: vchkpw seg-faulted. Technically, 
that means it's a question for the vpopmail people, because it's their 
software that's dying.

Two thoughts. First, do you use softlimit in your bincimapd run file? 
perhaps vchkpw is trying to allocate more memory to fetch that stuff out 
of mysql than you're allowing it to, and it doesn't do sufficient error 
checking to give you a good error message. Second, you're running that 
as ROOT. Test it with the actual user that bincimapd runs as.
