Ok, so I've been having this problem for a while. At first, I thought it
was hastymail. Now I've got horde/imp (newest) running with binc 1.3.3
(dev).

I was running 1.2.11, and 1.2.10 before that, and had the same problem.

The problem itself... is hastymail seems to hang, and time out, and the
processes just hang. Same thing happens on horde/imp. And it seems to
just happen randomly. Recently I telneted to imap on localhost during
these hangs, it connects, but the binc welcome message can take a good 20
seconds to come up. If it does at all.

So, I'm not sure what the flow is here, but it seems like xinetd is taking
it's sweet time to spawn off new bincimap processes, or bincimap is causing
it to hang somehow. A common problem, is I log into hastymail, go to
inbox, go to new... it hangs, I see "/usr/bin/php new.php" or something
stuck, I hit new messages again, and another process pops up and hangs. I
telnet localhost imap... and nothing. It connects, but no welcome string.

This is the reason I went to the devel version hoping it wouldn't do the
same thing, but it seems to still be doing it. It's worrisome, it seems to
do it much more frequently with imp.

Anyone have any sort of clue what might be causing this? I'm really at a
loss.

Thank you for your time,
Ben
