But it's over the lo interface, localhost.  Unless lo can't get overloaded?
 mysql runs over it too, because afaik, there's no way to run unix sockets
inside chroots, can't link to the socket or anything.  Webmail connects to
imap via lo and every time it hangs, I telnet to localhost and the imap
port is actually hung... it connects, but no connect string comes up.  


I will upgrade xinetd or try tcpserver, and see if that fixes it.
