The American Avocet was still present at 10.30 am today, Monday 29 Sept. at
the Winchester Lagoons in the middle cell at the rear of the property. I was
stopped by staff but allowed to go into the lagoons with the "DONT FALL IN"
verbal warning!! Also present was a Snow Goose.

Subject: Avocet at Winchester

An immature American Avocet was the Winchester Sewage Lagoon this morning.
It was in the company of 21 American Golden Plover; a Stilt Sandpiper was
also present, along with other more common species.

Directions: from downtown Winchester take the Ottawa Road north, the lagoons
are on your right shortly after the road turns to the right.
