There were 4 Short-eared Owls on Earl Armstrong Rd around 4:30pm today. The area is part way between Limebank and Bowesville Rds, south of the airport. Just prior to seeing the owls, there were at least 8 Northern Harriers as well as a few Red-tailed Hawks and Rough-legged Hawks. On the pond, east of Bowesville Rd were seen Common Mergansers and Hooded Mergansers.
Limebank Rd runs off of River Rd which in turn runs off of Hunt Club Rd. Cheers, Eve -Eve Ticknor Coordinator, OFNC Peregrine Falcon Watch 38-9 Gillespie Cres.
