Hi All

I just received a report of a female PAINTED BUNTING along the Chinquapin
Oak Trail in the park. The bird was first located south of the entrance
to the cemetery, between the cemetery gate and the bench. The bird was
last seen flying north, towards Anders Footpath.

Anders Footpath is accessed by way of the southern part of the DeLaurier
Trail. When in the DeLaurier parking lot, following the middle trail
south, past the weather station to the junction with the main DeLaurier
loop - the Anders footpath starts to the south of this junction.
Alternatively, you can park at White Pine and cross the road to follow the
Chinquapin Oak Trail - take this trail until you reach the bench at a
T-junction - turn left (north) and follow the trail - it eventually turns
into the Anders footpath. Please ask at the front gate or the Visitor
Centre for a map of this part of the park.

Good birding!
Sarah
