Hi All,

To add to Iain's note of yesterday's birding (attached below), I started in
NOTL around 1pm today (Sunday Jan 14) and spent about 2 hours searching for the
Razorbill (to try and add to my '07 list :-)), at times in heavy snow, to no
avail. I did have 5 Red-throated Loons (3 in one “flock”) in checking several
spots from NOTL among other regulars.

At Adam Beck, I had the immature Black-legged Kittiwake (with a great
comparison - side by side - to an imm. Bonaparte's Gull), 1 Adult Thayer's Gull
and 4 Iceland Gulls (3 adult, 1 first year), probably 500 Bonies, a few Great
Black-backed and 150 Herring. I was only there for about 15 minutes or so.

Cheers & good birding,
Frank Pinilla

DIRECTIONS:
Niagara-on-the-Lake - exit the QEW just east of St. Catharine's
At Niagara Stone Rd., follow to N-O-T-L and at it's terminus turn right, take
the next left where “The Charles Inn” is on the corner and you can check the
river mouth & lake from a parkette along Front St. I also checked the spot at
Ft Mississauga (take the trail through the golf course, which starts at Simcoe
& Front streets).

Adam Beck overlook is found along the Niagara Parkway (look for a whole bunch
of wires overhead) and park at the pull-off across from the American hydro
plant (Robert Moses??).

Jan 13, three of us spent all day looking for the Razorbill to no avail! Hell
of a drive from Ottawa to NOTL and back with no Razorbill. Didn`t meet anyone
who had seen it.

Did see 3 Iceland Gulls and one Kittiwake at the Hydro dam on the parkway
betweem NOTL and the Falls.

Remember all birding days are good days
