Yesterday, July 7th, there was a singing male LeConte's sparrow in a fallow field on the east shore of Maple Lake. This is about 10km SE of Parry Sound. For directions:
Drive to Maple lake, turn s on Maple Lake Estates Road, go about 1km, to a large field just opposite house number 37a,b,c. (little green house number signs). Bird was singing in the field, about 50m into the field. Pete
