On Saturday afternoon I saw two Barred Owls - an adult and its chick presumably (much smaller and slightly different colour/markings) - in the woods on the south side of Taylor-Kidd.
Heading West on Taylor-Kidd - past the small bridge after Collins Bay Road - take one of the trails on the left hand (south) side - the owls were spotted near the big hill towards the middle of the trails. The mosquitoes are almost unbearable so dress accordingly. I took several pictures but only one turned out due to it being dark and it started raining.
