Heavier cloud cover moved into the area later in the afternoon as a system approached from the west that is forecast to bring rain and thunderstorms into the area overnight. Winds were light to moderate southwest bearing more to west-southwest in the afternoon. Raptor Observations: A light flight was recorded, not surprising given the conditions and highlighted by the three Peregrines observed. Non-raptor Observations: Non-raptor highlights included a juvenile Red-headed Woodpecker, Common Loon and a flock of 13 American Golden Plovers. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
