Hi all,

This morning there was an immature snow goose at Lasalle Park hanging around
with the Canada geese immediately west of the parking area.

Other notables:
raft of male common mergansers at the tip of the shoals east of the marina
(need scope to view well)
hooded merganser - 1 pair near boat launch
scattered white-winged scoters

Areas around the marina are starting to freeze up and Environment Canada is
calling for temperatures near -20 degrees Celsius tonight, so this afternoon
might be your best best to see these birds in the near future. Sunset is
at 4:55 p.m.
