The White Pelican was still present at Oshawa Second Marsh at 5:00 this
afternoon. It was hunkered down on a mudflat opposite the viewing tower along
with cormorants, geese, and mute swans. The exact spot can be sighted by
orienting with the building opposite the tower and following the line of small
trees (all fairly close together) to the end one, then looking below that tree
to the mudflat.

The American Avocet was also still present in Whitby at 5:30. It was the lone
shorebird feeding on the mudflat east of the bridge, amongst numerous ducks and
geese. There was a Great Blue Heron present as well.
