Hello birders,

In preparaion for the upcoming Quest trip to birding hotspots in
southwestern Ontario, Bill Gilmour and myself scouted several areas between
and including Long Point and Rondeau Provincial Parks today. Here are some
highlights:

-1 SANDHILL CRANE flying over the Old Cut Field Station by Long Point
-1 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH singing repeatedly in the Wetland Trail of Backus
Woods
-1 male WILSON'S PHALAROPE at Blenheim Lagoons amidst c. 30 DUNLIN, c. 12
LESSER YELLOWLEGS and 4 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS

Rondeau was quiet; likely on account of the cool, windy weather. Pelee
scouting begins tomorrow.

Good birding,
