Last night, Sunday, July 25, the Chuck-will's-widow began singing at 9:10 p.m.
near the power line crossing making 58 calls in 5 minutes (a couple from
Wiarton counted) and did not call again until 9:57. Two Whip-poor-wills sang
regularly from 9:30 until 10:00 when everything fell silent. I left at 10:10.

Attendance: 5 cars, 8 people. 2 birders drove from Wiarton, 2 birders from
London, ON and another from Hamilton were vacationing in the area and dropped
by to see Chuck. 3 of us were locals who check Chuck once a week or so.

If the birders mentioned above heard or saw anything that I might have missed
please let us know.
