Hi Ontbirders:

There is a family of 3 young Pied-billed Grebes in the pond (one next to the
houses) at the corner of Aquaview and Silverado Crescent. This pond has been
good for a number of Pied-billed Grebes in past years. One year I recall maybe
4 to 5 families of grebes. Not so much in the past couple of seasons.

This pond has also seen breeding Blue-winged Teals in previous years.

I arrived just in time to see a fire going along the middle path. Apparently
word has it some kids loaded up a shopping cart full of cardboard and dumped it
there. The fire was going pretty good too until the firemen arrived.
