Sharp-shinned Hawk- 87
Red-tailed Hawk- 2 locals
American Kestrel- 17
Merlin- 1

Total observation time- 5 hrs

Observers: J Ball, B Steel, and R Stephenson

Weather: Winds started from the north and switched to east by mid day.

Other birds: Great Egret- 7
Ruby-throated Hummingbird- 9, American  Woodcock-1,
Wilson's Snipe- 5, and Common Raven-1

Monarch migration- : 860 in the first 1.5 hours and then it went crazy. There
were butteflies everywhere you looked.

Directions: Exit from the 401 at Brock St. in Whitby, Go south on Brock St.to Victoria St. Go west on Victoria St. to Halls Road. Go south on Halls Road to
the second walkway to Cranberry Marsh.
