Birders,

The first winter male KING EIDER, first reported this morning by Kevin
Mclaughlin, was present this afternoon at 2:00 PM, viewed west of the lake end
of Green Road in Stoney Creek. There were thousands of ducks present, which in
itself was quite the spectacle, but the Eider was not too difficult to locate.
Hopefully it sticks around so others have a chance to view it.

Directions:

>From the QEW Niagara bound, get off on Centennial Pkwy and head north, towards
>the lake. Turn east(right) on North Service Road and continue east until you
>get to Green Road. Turn left (north), and travel until the street ends.Park on
>the street at the end, near the lake. The Eider was viewed west of the lookout
>and was in the company of many Long-tailed Ducks.

Best,

Len Manning
