As of noon today the male Harlequin Duck was still present on the Ottawa River north of Bate Island. It was in the swift moving water and rapids close to the Quebec shore in the company of Goldeneye. Directions: Bate Island is in the Ottawa River accessed from the Champlain Bridge. Take Island Park Drive north to the Champlain Bridge or the Sir John A.
