Good morning,

Regarding the earlier posting from me of a MOURNING WARBLER in Wellington.

Before posting the sighting, I had sent the single photo to two expert birders
who both agreed with me that this was a first winter female mourning warbler.
However, this was based on just the single photo. I have since been able to
acquire several more photos of the same bird from the owner of the property,
and now they feel that it could be an Orange-crowned Warbler, as it makes more
sense.

I have not seen the bird myself, but would welcome any additional comments.

In any event, everyone is welcome to view the bird themselves at per the
directions below. The owner says that the feeder is in the backyard and you are
welcome come inside and wait for the bird’s appearance. Might be a good plan,
given the weather this morning at 4:00 a.m. !

Thank you for your input.

DIRECTIONS: Narrow Street is about mid way along the main street of Wellington.
Take Highway 33 from Carrying Place to Wellington, or Highway 62 from
Belleville to Bloomfield, then right on Highway 33 at the Mac’s Milk store and
follow to Wellington.
