For those looking to add this bird to your winter list.the Rusty Blackbird I
first observed on Friday is still present and was feeding on whole corn and
cracked corn this morning. I also observed a Raven yesterday afternoon
flying the frozen waterway between Howe and Wolfe Islands. Red-breasted
Nuthatch was seen yesterday afternoon. Both Red-bellied Woodpeckers (male
and female) were present yesterday/today.

Howe Island is located east of Kingston off of Hwy 2 between Kingston and
Gananoque, and accessible by an on-demand ferry (break closures on

weekends @12-12:30PM, 2:30-2:45PM, 4:30-4:45PM; $5 fee) from Howe Island
Ferry Road (Joyceville exit 632 off Hwy 401).
