Hey Folks, After a fantastic couple of days at Pelee, I was birding my local patch this morning and had a striking Yellow Palm Warbler in with a large flock of mainly Western Palm Warblers and a handful of Myrtles at Kortright. Mediocre photos were taken.
The bird was working around a small wooded wetland at Spring Peeper Pond. The Visitor Centre has maps with the location. This is a "hotspot" for warblers at Kortright and perhaps with any luck it will stick around. Also of interest were a pair of Shoveler at the Marsh Boardwalk. Enjoy the great Spring day! Cheers, Lev Frid Directions: The Kortright Centre is located three kilometers west of Highway 400 and one kilometer south of Major Mackenzie Drive at 9550 Pine Valley Drive in Woodbridge. There is an entry fee and the visitor centre provides maps with all the locations mentioned above. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
